The Kindergarten application period for the 2025-2026 school year opens on December 10, 2024, while the 3K & PreK application is set to open January 15, 2025. As you consider your options, we would love to welcome you into our school building for a tour!

3K & PreK Tours
Please join us for an Early Childhood Tour from 9am-10am on the following dates:

Application Dates & Process
Kindergarten applications are due by January 24, 2025. 3K & PreK Applications are due by February 28, 2025.
Applications may be submitted online with MySchools, by phone, or in person at the District 13 Family Welcome Center located at 355 Park Place, Brooklyn, NY 11238.
Current 3K and PreK families must submit an application as well to be considered for placement with us for PreK and Kindergarten, though current families will have priority in admissions.

How Children are Placed
Children are considered for placement at PS 270: The Dekalb School from within our school zone, from within District 13, and from other Districts as well (in that order of priority). View our school zone here.
